In 2024, we conducted research that identified a novel genetic diagnosis for neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) and a potential therapeutic approach. Our work was first recognized at the state level, earning Best in Michigan, and later received First Place at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). We were also named among the Top 10 Global Leaders in Research, an incredible honor that highlighted the worldwide significance of our findings.
Building on this success in 2025, we expanded our research to explore how the full spectrum of NDDs arises and tested our treatment for its potential across different stages of brain development. This continued innovation and rigorous methodology led to remarkable results, earning us a spot in the Top 5 Projects in the World at Regeneron ISEF and another prestigious Third Place Grand Award globally.
These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment to advancing scientific understanding of NDDs, developing therapies that can have real-world impact, and inspiring the next generation of neurodiversity researchers and advocates. We hope our work demonstrates that with curiosity, dedication, and collaboration, young people can make meaningful contributions to science and society.
