At The Perception Foundation, our journey has always been guided by one belief: sensory support should be accessible to everyone. We started by building private sensory rooms in schools and clinics for our friends and peers who needed a safe place to regulate. Over time, we expanded into public spaces like libraries and airports, because calm, inclusion, and the ability to thrive should never be privileges.
Now we are thrilled to share the next chapter of our mission: public sensory events.
These events are designed to bring sensory-friendly experiences directly to the community. From interactive installations and calming zones at festivals to pop-up sensory spaces in busy public areas, they serve two main purposes. First, support—giving individuals with sensory needs a safe, welcoming space to regulate. Second, awareness—sparking conversations and helping the broader community understand neurodevelopmental differences, accessibility, and inclusion.
With public sensory events, we are creating not just spaces, but experiences that bridge understanding and support. This is more than an expansion of our work. It is a movement toward a future where sensory inclusivity is part of everyday life, and everyone can feel seen, understood, and supported.
