Maya Hammoud and Lara Hammoud are incredibly honored to be named members of the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Class of 2026.
They say the odds of becoming a Coca-Cola Scholar are less than 1/6th of 1%. Statistically speaking, the probability of twin sisters achieving this milestone together is almost impossible. But as Maya and Lara have learned throughout their journey, data only accounts for the expected, not the impact of passion, perseverance, and purpose.
Being selected as two of just 150 Coca-Cola Scholars nationwide is an incredible honor, but what makes the achievement even more meaningful is sharing it together as sisters.
During Scholars Weekend, Maya and Lara had the opportunity to connect with inspiring young leaders from across the country, meet influential business and community leaders, and engage in conversations centered around leadership, innovation, and creating meaningful change. The experience offered not only inspiration, but also a reminder of the power of community and collaboration.
They were especially grateful for the opportunity to share the mission of The Perception Foundation and connect with others who are committed to improving the world through service and advocacy. Through their work, the organization has grown into the world’s largest youth-led nonprofit focused on neurodiversity and mental health, reaching more than 500,000 people across 34+ countries.
Maya and Lara are deeply thankful to the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and its partners for investing in the next generation of leaders and changemakers.
They are proud to be part of the #CokeScholars family and excited for all that lies ahead.
